A car ended up in the water at the Blankenstein industrial estate in Meppel. According to a bystander, three people are being checked in the ambulance. It is not known how they are doing.
The emergency services, including a diving team from the fire brigade, were alerted just after 11.30 am. When they arrived the vehicle was almost completely submerged. As far as is known, the occupants were able to get to dry land independently.
It is not known how the car managed to drive into the water.
