Two people were injured in an accident at a business park in Vijfhuizen this afternoon. At around 5:15 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Krukas and Motorweg, after which the car drove into an adjacent ditch.
Because the seriousness of the situation was equally unclear, at least four ambulances were sent to Vijfhuizen as a precaution. In the end, two of the three people involved were injured, says a spokesperson for the Security Region.
It concerns the driver of the motorcycle and his passengers. At least one of them was seriously injured, both were taken to hospital for treatment.
Car closed in, driver unharmed
The motorist who drove into an adjacent ditch after the impact was able to get out unharmed, the spokesman said. “Fire divers have searched in and around the car, but have not found anyone.”
Due to the traffic situation (location, crowds), the people involved (motorcycle and car) and circumstances (injuries, car in a ditch), it is a complex accident, according to the spokesman. The police will therefore investigate what exactly happened.
