A three-month-old baby was taken to hospital on Sunday after a traffic accident in Prenzlauer Berg.

According to initial police investigations, a mother with a stroller crossed the street at the intersection of Malmöer and Schivelbeiner Straße when the traffic light was green.

At that moment, a 34-year-old turned right in his car and hit the stroller. It tipped over and the baby fell onto the road.

Rescue workers took the little girl, who had no externally visible injuries, to a hospital, where she was admitted for further examinations as a precaution. The 35-year-old mother and the driver escaped with horror.
