Five people were injured on the A50 near Nistelrode on Friday evening after the car they were in drove off a slope and ended up in a ditch next to the road. One of the victims is seriously injured. The accident happened at the exit to Nistelrode.
The accident happened in the direction of Eindhoven to Nijmegen. All five victims have been taken to hospital. The seriously injured victim was several tens of meters away from the car.
The car came off the highway and allegedly rammed a sign, then the vehicle ended up upside down in the ditch. Emergency workers placed a ladder across the ditch to transport the victims to the ambulance.
Trauma helicopter
An air ambulance was also called in to provide assistance. The trauma doctor was taken to the hospital with the seriously injured victim in the ambulance.
The accident happened on the exit, the rest of the road is open.
