A car with two occupants flew out of the bend on the border near Meppel on Sunday evening. The car hit a post and a picnic table.
Both occupants were not injured. The police took a breathalyzer test from the driver, but this showed that no alcohol was involved. The damaged car was towed by a salvage company.
The accident happened on the Vaartweg, in the bend near the watchtower over the Reestdal. A few meters away is the Reest, the border between Staphorst and Meppel.
