A car ended up in the water next to the N279 near Heeswijk-Dinther on Sunday night. This happened around a quarter past three in the morning.
Things went wrong on the road from Den Bosch to Veghel. How the car ended up on the side of the road and then into the water is being investigated.
The driver managed to get out of the car and get out of the water under her own power.
A passing motorist saw the woman and stopped. This called the emergency services. The woman was checked by ambulance personnel. The car has completely sunk.
Part of the N279 must be temporarily closed for the recovery of the car. The recovery will take place after the Monday morning rush hour.
