A car drove into the Amstel this evening. That happened around 6 p.m. at the Jaagpad in the Kwakel. Emergency services searched the water for the driver of the car, but found no one.
Photos show that the car has completely disappeared beneath the water’s surface. A fire brigade diver went into the water, but found no people. The police are now investigating where the driver of the car has gone.
To find out, items that were in the car are examined. The Polish license plate is also being checked.
