Last night around 3 a.m., a car crashed over the temporary guardrails on the N247 near Middelie and landed on its side near Klemweg.
The air ambulance was called for the occupants of the car. It is not known how they are doing. The car is seriously damaged, as can be seen in photos.
The N247 has been closed near the Edam/Middelie industrial estate, reports the ANWB, to allow recovery companies and emergency services to do their work. The parallel road is also temporarily closed.
