The famous Berlin Holocaust memorial was damaged by a car crash.
The car drove with great force into a low block of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe near the Brandenburg Gate on Tuesday night, the police reported.
Three men had fled from the police by car around 3:30 a.m. and then left the road.
The suspects tried to escape on foot after the accident, but were arrested by the police after a short time.
The “Berlin newspaper” had reported. The accident car and the damaged concrete block can be seen in photos from the newspaper. Debris is lying around, a liquid has leaked. The getaway car was towed away in the morning.
