Car crashes into a bakery: was there an arrest warrant behind the wheel?

On January 30th, an Audi Q8 drove at high speed through the 30 km/h zone in Darmstadt into a Turkish bakery. The car broke through the window. A passer-by was shocked, but a 23-year-old customer in the store sustained injuries and had to be treated in hospital. The accident vehicle and the building suffered material damage amounting to tens of thousands of euros, as the South Hesse police confirmed in a press release. However, the driver of the SUV left the scene after the accident and is currently on the run. Rumor has it that rapper’s arrest warrant could actually have something to do with the case.

Arrest warrant and Soufian appear to stroll away from the scene of the accident

Witnesses said they knew who caused the accident: they said they had seen an arrest warrant. “Bild” reported that the car apparently belonged to the Offenbach musician. The 38-year-old is said to have climbed out of the car with two other people after the crash and left the scene of the accident in another vehicle, according to eyewitnesses. It is not known whether he was behind the wheel himself. If these suspicions are confirmed, it means a hit-and-run arrest warrant – and that means a large fine or even a prison sentence.

Shortly after the crash, videos appeared on the Internet showing people who looked like the artist friends arrest warrant and Soufian. For example, one clip shows two men getting out of the car after the accident and strolling away at a normal pace. You can also see how the SUV crashes into the window of the baklava shop at high speed in the 30 km/h zone, narrowly missing a passer-by.

Bakery has to close for two days

Another clip shows the extent of the collision in the store. The owner announced via Instagram story that he would have to close his shop for two days. It is apparently still unclear to the police which of the occupants was driving the vehicle, even if – as can be seen in the recordings distributed via YouTube – they probably questioned one of the two rappers in front of the shop after the accident.
