Glynor Plet will also play in the Telstar shirt next season. The 35-year-old captain has reached a verbal agreement on a new one-year contract. “I’m glad I can continue for another year.”
“I’m having a good time here, it’s going well so I’m happy to be able to play football here for another year
“I’m enjoying myself here, it’s going well so I’m happy that I can play football here for another year,” says Plet. The striker has scored 12 goals in 33 league games this season.
“A great captain, extension of the trainer”, says a happy trainer Andries Jonker about Plet. “He is a player who guarantees ten to twenty goals per season. Those players are not up for grabs for Telstar.”
Wolters ajar
A departure from Randy Wolters seems inevitable. The left leg, who entered as a transfer-free player halfway through the season, leaves all options open. Andries Jonker thinks they cannot reach an agreement financially. “Normally he is not a player that Telstar can afford,” says technical director Andries Jonker.
“The ball is with the club, so I’m waiting for that. Everything will be fine”
Future Jonker
Andries Jonker’s future is also still in limbo. The trainer and technical director of De Witte Leeuwen is in possession of an expiring contract. “The ball is with the club, so I’m waiting for that. It will all be fine,” says Jonker about the conversations he has had with the club.
Tomorrow Telstar will play against VVV-Venlo at 8 p.m. The match can be followed live on the NH Sport radio broadcast, which starts an hour earlier.
