In the 27th competitive game of the season for Hertha, Dedryck Boyata (31) headed his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 (4th min.) in the relegation second leg at HSV (4th min.) and cleared everything at the back.
The Belgian with a hoarse voice to the BZ: “We delivered our best game in the last game of the season, amazing! We showed great fighting spirit and morale, we all fought until we died together – for the club, for our fans, for our families and for us.”

Thoughtful: “If we had always shown such a performance, we would never have got into this situation. Sorry it took so long.” Will Boyata (contract until 2024) definitely stay? “Naturally! My goal is to perform well at Hertha and then go to the World Cup with Belgium.”
