“Together we were able to grow and build, year in, year out. This ultimately led to results, but above all it brings a smile to my face when I look back on it,” Brinkman continues. “The satisfaction we felt together when we had done it again and looked back on it together during a championship party, are moments that I will never forget.”
The international became national champion four times with Bloemendaal and won the Euro Hockey League five times. Only last year he missed out on the title, due to a defeat against Pinoké in the final. Bloemendaal is currently third in the main league. After a long hibernation, the second half of the competition starts next Saturday.
