A documentary is probably being made about Capital Bra – the first trailer has been visible since November 12th. Capital Bra posted the sequence on Instagram. The film is probably called “The Way into the Light” and is scheduled to be released in 2026.

“I have a lot of problems”
In the trailer, Capital Bra can be seen both on stage and privately. “I can’t love myself. I have to live with that now,” he says in one scene. “I have a lot of problems. I can’t say it all here at once,” he philosophizes elsewhere.
The German rapper first hinted at the beginning of November during a live stream that he was considering making his own documentary. He talked about the idea with his audience and his rap colleague King Khalil. He received a lot of positive feedback from his fans.
From the brink back to the top?
However, as “Raptastisch” reports, Capital Bra wants to do it differently than an arrest warrant. He doesn’t want to show himself “at the bottom”, but rather tell his way “from the shit to the top”. The film should therefore begin during his fall, around the time of his lung collapse, and only end when he has reached the top again.
Dealing openly with drug use?
In 2023, Capital Bra was hospitalized for pneumonia that led to a thrombosis. In an interview, he attributed this illness to excessive consumption of nitrous oxide. It’s not the only drug the 31-year-old has spoken publicly about using. In September 2020, he reported on his long-term addiction to Tilidin in the public YouTube format “STRG_F”.
Past with Bushido
Until 2019, Capital Bra was signed to Bushido’s label Ersguterjunge. After the collaboration ended, he declared for the first time that Bushido would receive police protection. He also accused his former label boss of cooperating with the police and betraying friends.
On November 21, 2019, the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed an ongoing “investigation into attempted predatory extortion,” in which Capital Bra is listed as the alleged victim, as the “Berliner Zeitung” reported. “Bild” had previously claimed that members of the Arab extended families Miri and Al-Zein had tried to blackmail the rapper for 500,000 euros. At the same time, it was rumored that Capital Bra had contacted the investigative authorities and asked for support – the “Bild” spoke of “danger to life”.
Sympathy with the AfD?
In 2024, the rapper released his ninth studio album VLADYSLAV. At the end of October, he made headlines again when he expressed sympathy for the AfD in a live stream in the form of the statement “I used to criticize the AfD very, very, very, very much. Now I think to myself, they are right about some things” – surprising for many fans, as he had previously clearly criticized the right-wing extremist party.
Capital Bra was born in Russian Siberia and then moved with his family to Ukraine, where he spent part of his childhood. At the age of seven he came to Berlin with his mother to the Hohenschönhausen district, which influenced him as a teenager.
Rap documentaries boom
In the past few weeks and months, there has been an increasing number of announcements of documentaries about German rappers. The Netflix documentary about an arrest warrant recently attracted attention. “Babo – The Arrest Warrant Story” has been on Netflix since October 28th and was produced by Elyas M’Barek and Pacco-Luca Nitsche. Capital Bra on arrest warrant documentary: “When I see you, I see myself somewhere”
Capital Bra was enthusiastic about the documentary about the arrest warrant. At the end of October he wrote on Instagram: “Haft my big brother, what a life & what a documentary”. He added: “When I see you, I also see myself somewhere. God is with us, my brother, respect” (sic).
