Slalom canoeist Stefan Hengst won the next German medal at the home World Championships in Augsburg.
The 28-year-old world champion from 2019 came third in the extreme kayak final and thus secured the bronze medal. Hengst had previously won gold with the K1 team.
The first home world championship in 19 years had been on the brink due to low water, only short-term construction work on the Olympic track from 1972 brought some relief.
