Candace Owens defends herself for fetanyl statements about George Floyd

Candace Owens, like Kanye West, claimed George Floyd died from fentanyl, a powerful narcotic. She justified her statements on Monday (October 17) on Twitter.

After Kanye West claimed on the “Drink Champs” podcast that he knew the true cause of George Floyd’s death, he faced further criticism and the deceased’s family considered suing the rapper over it. Right-wing activist journalist Candace Owens reported on this theory in her documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM. Many people on Twitter therefore felt that they should also be charged. Owens replied as follows:

“George Floyd’s family didn’t even stop at his house to collect his belongings. They left his car and personal belongings at his house. Now they’re angry because my documentary TELLS THE TRUTH about the fatal amounts of fentanyl discovered in Floyd’s autopsy.”

“When did George Floyd first say ‘I can’t breathe’? While standing tall resisting arrest before BAT to be put on the ground. I’m sorry your media is lying to you.”

“I think you should consider how defamatory law works in this country. Did you know that the truth helps against this? Did they take Floyd’s belongings? Didn’t Floyd say “I can’t breathe” before he was laid on the floor? “Sue them!” is not an argument.”

Also part of this debate are the “WHITE LIVES MATTER” long-sleeved shirts that Owens and West wore.
