Canada Goose has collaborated with Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Chinese-born artist Xu Zhen was also involved in the creation of the collection, which was unveiled at the end of June as part of Paris Fashion Week. The resulting designs combine Canada Goose’s “performance expertise” with the designer’s “traditional style” and Zhen’s prints, the Canadian apparel company said.
The collection consists of twelve pieces that are “characterized by exaggerated proportions and technical deconstruction”. Wang expresses her personal life experiences through the designs – the collection not only has the usual Canada Goose functionality, but is also “conceptual and personal”. Pieces include Canada Goose’s signature down jackets and coats, as well as knitwear. The collaboration also saw the creation of a woven skirt and trousers for the first time – both products not previously featured in Canada Goose’s range. Wang also designed shoes for the collection. The collection will be available from autumn 2022.
