Canada delivered a new batch of weapons to Ukraine

A C-17 military transport aircraft of the Royal Canadian Forces delivered a second batch of weapons to Lviv, reported Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Facebook.

The Ukrainian army received sniper rifles, assault rifles, machine guns, night vision equipment and military equipment from Canada, said Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.

He thanked the Canadian partners for the supply of weapons that will help “deter Russia’s aggression.” Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Rostyslav Zamlinsky said that instructors from Canada, along with Ukrainian soldiers, are training in the Lviv region.

The Security Council said that the West is oversaturating Ukraine with weapons

The first aircraft carrying non-lethal weapons arrived in Ukraine on February 4 amid reports from Western media and politicians about Russia’s plans to invade Ukraine, which the Kremlin has repeatedly denied.

On February 15, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada would supply $6.1 million worth of lethal weapons to Ukraine in order to “deter Russia from aggression.” In addition, the country will provide a loan of $390 million to Kiev in addition to the January loan of $117 million.
