Rick Evers, the royalty expert of Today Inside, is quite fed up with the complaining Countess Eloise. He calls her a “fake baby” and wonders if she can lose her title.
Countess Eloise is starting to damage the reputation of the royal family with her harshly criticized media appearances. She keeps saying that everyone should fly less because of the climate, but we see Eloise herself more often on the runway than at home on the couch. And what she does when she’s home? Complaining about the fact that she has become so famous.
Traveling again
Eloise says she would prefer to join Extinction Rebellion, just like Carice van Houten, but apparently she does not see how implausible that is. VI’s royalty expert Rick Evers points this out X I’m glad that Eloise has already completed her first trip of the year.
Rick: “Don’t worry, the commercial count influencer is on her first trip of the year: a sponsored ski trip at the expense of a ski goggle brand, for which she doesn’t even bother to follow the brand in question on Insta. 👀 Nepobaby.”
Queen Eloise
Can’t her title just be taken away, Rick wonders in an article in Weekend. “What she does reflects on the monarchy. Articles about Eloise appear on the websites of Libelle and LINDA. under the heading ‘royal family’. She is a member of the royal family and fifth in line to the throne.”
There is a small chance that Eloise will one day become our queen, says Rick. “If the plane carrying the royal family has a fatal accident, Eloise will ascend the throne after her father.”
Take away title?
According to Rick, we shouldn’t want that. “Where there is talk in England about stripping the titles of Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, this is a difficult matter in the Netherlands. Titles were traditionally given by the king. Nowadays this is done through the minister. The Nobility Act does not mention taking away titles.”
Eloise is legally entitled to the title of Countess of Oranie-Nassau, according to Rick. “But even without a title, Eloise would remain linked to the royal family for the rest of her life. Unless she actually dares to choose anonymity or Willem-Alexander dares to make far-reaching agreements with her.”
