Bridget Maasland wonders whether her ex-lover André Hazes Jr clean can stay when he returns to the artist life again. “Then he comes back into that toxic environment rightly.”
André Hazes Jr. always pretends he doesn’t feel like media attention at all, but in the meantime he will soon be displaying all his addictions and rehab processes in his new series on Videoland. That series is the kick-off of his return to the artist’s life. He will perform again next year at the Holland Zingt Hazes concerts.
Bridget worried
His ex-girlfriend Bridget Maasland wonders if André will succeed clean to stay when he dives back into artist life. “How hard is it to stay clean this time if you have an addiction background and go back on stage and still end up in that toxic environment? How hard is it going to be for him?”
Rob Goossens, her colleague at RTL Boulevard, answers: “I really don’t want to elaborate on the psychological part. Ultimately, of course, it is mainly about the people you surround yourself with and he is someone who always has a good time with people who talk with him.”
‘Andre home’
It is to be hoped that André will be slowed down a bit, says Rob. “I do hope that he has learned in the past period that it does not hurt at all to have some people around you who now and then say: ‘André, now we are going home, because I don’t think it is wise if you stick around with Lil Kleine even longer.’”
It will all become clear in André’s documentary, director Cheeru Mampaey says in Veronica Superguide. “I think if you’re still judging him after watching it, maybe you should watch the series again. Because then you just didn’t understand him properly.”
PR Offensive
RTL Boulevard host Luuk Ikink hopes for André that this will all work out as his team has planned. “He still has something to gain, because his popularity has been waning a bit over the past year and a half. We have all become a bit Hazes-tired in the Netherlands.”
Rob: “Yes, absolutely. In that respect, this must also be some kind of PR offensive to get that back.”
