Campino is now a visiting professor at the University of Düsseldorf

Campino is taking on a visiting professorship at Heinrich Heine University. But you can’t just go to his two lectures – the opportunity to participate is raffled off.

Common poetry and cacophony of our time

The Toten Hosen singer’s first lecture will be on the topic “Kästner, Kraftwerk, Cock Sparrer. A declaration of love for everyday poetry” and will take place on April 2nd. Three weeks later – on April 23rd – the second follows with the title: “Everyone has something to say. The cacophony of our time.”

Anyone who would like to register for one of the 61-year-old’s events can on the university website do – however, the participants will be drawn at random from among all those registered.

More about the visiting professorship

The Heinrich Heine Visiting Professorship is a gift from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to the university in 1988 on the occasion of its naming.

Before Campino, among others, Helmut Schmidt, Juli Zeh, Wolf Biermann, Siegfried Lenz, Joschka Fischer, Antje Vollmer, Karl Cardinal Lehmann, Ulrich Wickert, Joachim Gauck and most recently Klaus-Maria Brandauer were guest professors there.

The first Heinrich Heine visiting professor was Marcel Reich-Ranicki in 1991.
