In Lautaret in the French department of Hautes-Alpes, emergency services had to intervene on Monday evening to rescue tourists who were in a dire situation. The trio had come to the region for the Tour de France, which was due to cross the pass on Wednesday, but their camper ended up in a canal while parking.

The vehicle landed on its side nearly fifty feet below. The three occupants suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. They got off with a fright.
