Maastricht – Not a nice campaign moment just before the municipal elections, but a bomb that explodes in one’s own face: Sigrid Kaag’s Europe speech on Tuesday turned out to be painful for the D66 leader. The Minister of Finance is lectured by the House of Representatives because she would rather give a lecture in Maastricht than answer questions about purchasing power in The Hague.
