MusicPop princess Camille (20) joins forces with the well-known songwriter and music producer John Ewbank (53). The two crawled into the studio together on Wednesday. “John was very impressed with her voice,” says William Vaesen, the singer’s manager.
Ewbank is an established name in the music world. He made hits like ‘Red’ and ‘Binnen’ with Marco Borsato. In addition, the Dutchman also wrote songs for Paul de Leeuw, Rob de Nijs and Gordon, among others. “I contacted John through Instagram and forwarded some of Camille’s songs to him that way,” continues William. “He was very impressed with her talent and invited us to make a few songs together. Today was the first meeting between the two in his studio in Hilversum.”
That acquaintance left me wanting more. “The two first went to lunch and then drove to the studio. John immediately put Camille at ease with his humor. The collaboration went smoothly and he was perplexed by her voice.” Camille was also enthusiastic. “Studio day with John Ewbank, what a great experience!” she posted via Instagram.
What the result of the collaboration will sound like should become clear in the future. During her concerts in the Lotto Arena, Camille will already be performing new work this fall. Four concerts are now sold out, but tickets are still available for the fifth and last show – on Sunday, November 6 at 11 a.m. through this link†
