Una thing the Duchess of Cornwall certainly has in common with Queen Elizabeth: a love of dogs. Camilla is always the first to come forward if there is to offer Royal support to charities dedicated to pets favorites at Buckingham Palace. And it often carries with it the two foundlings, Beth and Bluebell, who live with her and Prince Charles in the Highgrove country residencein the center of England.
Camilla of Cornwall and Beth, a winning couple
Visiting Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Brands Hatch in the English county of Kent, the Duchess of Cornwall, 74 years old and patroness of the charity for some time, was accompanied by little Beth.
And he immediately accepted a challenge launched by his friend Paul O’Grady, British TV presenter, who with his little dog Sausage participated with Camilla and Beth at the race of the Temptation Alley (the path of temptations).
Camilla of Cornwall: “What can go wrong?”
At the beginning, the Duchess had, in fact, her doubts. A race in which her Beth had to ignore toys and biscuits scattered on the ground and immediately run to her? But she had no reason to worry: once called by Camilla herself, Beth ignored all the temptations that surrounded her and rushed to the Duchesssecuring victory and a prestigious trophy.
“Beth is very good with people, but not so good with other dogs”
Camilla herself admitted it, proud of her nice Jack Russell Terrier, adopted together with Bluebell by the same charity. After being appeared in the official portrait of Carlo and Camilla for their 15th wedding anniversaryin December 2020 the two dogs even opened a new Battersea center in Windsor using a sausage to unveil a commemorative plaque.
