Melbourne Storm rugby player Cameron Munster had a hard time in last week’s NRL league match against the Parramatta Eels.

In the midst of the battle, the unnamed bone in the Aussie star’s right hand was so badly dislocated that it popped out.

Not for the faint of heart: you can see a picture of Munster’s finger from here (Twitter) or the end of the story.

What makes it remarkable is that at half-time, Munster taped his bleeding finger together with his middle finger and continued playing.

After the match, the man said that he planned to play also in the next match, which is on the program this week.

– I get a little cement on it and it’s fine, he laughed.

However, the condition of the finger was such that a quick return is not possible.

– The bone is still hanging outside. It’s not ideal, Munster said.

– I have dislocated a finger before, but not before from the joint. I was a little surprised when it came out. I’ve never seen a bone come out before.

Fingers were already piled up at the game site.

– And I hate needles. I squealed like a ten-year-old when I was being quilted.

It was later revealed that Munster was flown to Melbourne for emergency surgery after the match. The recovery time is estimated to be two to three weeks.
