Cambuur fans will boycott the away match against Ajax on Saturday 3 September. In this way, the fans want to express their dissatisfaction with the reception of the away supporters at the team from Amsterdam in recent years. The action of the police and security would be very hostile and unfriendly.
“There are a number of issues that are at play here. We must first take care of ourselves. The misbehavior of some individuals on our own side is unacceptable and we will have to continue to discuss this with each other. hope to find fault with the reception in Amsterdam,” says general director Ard de Graaf on the Cambuur site.
Last season there were disturbances around Ajax – Cambuur. This now results in a boycott of the match.
Children
Adult fans will therefore not be present in the Johan Cruijff Arena. Cambuur says that children from families in Leeuwarden can go to Ajax – Cambuur at the expense of the club.
Incidentally, last season’s visit was certainly not a party for Cambuur from a sporting point of view. The team lost 9-0.
