Calzedonia Group reports sales increase of almost 22 percent

The Italian clothing group Calzedonia SpA was again able to increase its sales significantly in the 2022 financial year. The group of companies, which includes the brands Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Falconeri, announced on Tuesday that they were able to achieve sales totaling almost 3.05 billion euros in the past year. This corresponded to an improvement of 21.6 percent compared to 2021. Adjusted for exchange rate changes, the growth rate was 20.2 percent. According to the group, the share of foreign business in total sales rose to 58.5 percent.

The group of companies continued its expansion course in 2022: 252 new points of sale were opened during the year, 196 of them abroad. At the end of December, the total number of points of sale was 5,328. According to its own statements, the group invested a total of around 280 million euros. In addition to new stores, this also financed the expansion of omnichannel offers and the strengthening of logistics and production.
