The police have identified a 16-year-old suspect in connection with threats to two teachers in Burger on social networks.

It is said to be the alleged creator of an Instagram account who called for the “hunt” on the two teachers Max Teske and Laura Nickel from Burg (Spree-Neisse). According to a police spokesman, the picture of the two teachers was posted.

In April, Max Teske and Laura Nickel published a fire letter about daily right-wing extremist incidents at their school in Burg im Spreewald. They were then increasingly exposed to hostilities and were also threatened on Instagram. Both teachers are now changing schools.

According to the police, the owner of the Instagram account and author of the threatening post comes from the region. So far, the police have not made an appearance, it said. The youth had already been questioned and admitted that he created the account, the police spokesman said.

The account is now no longer accessible. The public prosecutor’s office in Cottbus is continuing the investigation.
