Three entities favorable to the preservation of the territory they have called a demonstration for March 4 in Barcelona to protest against the eventual expansion of El Prat airport, the fourth beltway through El Vallès and the Hard Rock macro-complex, in Vila-seca and Salou (Tarragonés). The concentration is summoned by the platforms Aturem Hard Rock, Zeroport and Campanya Against the 4t Beltwhich fight these three major projects that appear in the pact for the budgets of this 2023 between the ERC Government and the PSC.
The demonstration, to which dozens of other entities are expected to join in the coming days, will take place on March 4 at 6:00 p.m. in Plaza Catalunya, with the motto ‘Let’s defend the earth and build the future’. In an attention to the media at the gates of the Foment del Treball headquarters, the spokesman for Aturem Hard Rock, Eloi Redon, has trusted this Monday that it will be a “country” mobilization to demand a “change of course” from the executive of Pere Aragoneswhich he has accused of pleasing the economic powers: “The employers aim and the Government shoots”, he has criticized.

Redon has considered that Catalonia does not need these three new infrastructures -for which the project has not yet been defined-, but other services, such as “education, health and public transport, and non-abusive rents”. Regarding a proposal to expand the Barcelona Airport that has come to light this past weekend, which would consist of building a runway in the sea, the spokesman for Zeroport, Daniel Brown, has considered that it does not have “any sense or feasibility”. “It is only a smoke screen to maintain a debate that is already obsolete”, since the airport “does not need this expansion”, he added.
For his part, the spokesman for Campanya Contra el 4t Cinturó, Santi Martí, has called for the “union” of towns and cities to ensure that citizens are “respected and stop being decorated for politicians who do and undo based on the interests of the market.
