Calle Halfvarsson in particular was frustrated by Wednesday’s late pursuit race.
The fourth stage of the Tour de Ski was 20 kilometers in free skiing. The pursuit race was started based on the results of Tuesday’s race.
The competition format has received heavy criticism.
– This is not very nice from the point of view of the Tour, Sweden finished seventh William Poromaa said to SVT.
Wednesday’s chase was more of a wait. There were still 28 men in the leading group one kilometer before the finish line.
The game was decided when the Tour’s top man was the first to set off Johannes Kläbo ripped off on the last climb. The Kiri specialist took his fourth Tour win.
In the overall situation, the differences between the skiers are quite small. SVT asked the World Cup medalist from Calle Halfvarssonwhat the chase had to offer the entire Tour.
– To be honest, the upcoming weekend is pretty worthless. We only kill in the same places. At the top, we are in the same places as before arriving in Oberstdorf.
Went for a walk

Halfvarsson was fifth (+1.11.0) in the overall standings of the Tour before Wednesday’s race. Fourth place in the chase dropped him to tenth overall, but the gap to Kläbo is only 49 seconds.
– If we had skied together, we might have gotten more out of it.
Halfvarsson told Aftonbladet that he made a mistake in the race. He got in the middle of a huge group at a bend and got stuck in the bag.
I also didn’t like the quiet travel speed.
– Unfortunately, the race was a walk. I was hoping we would ski faster.
There are still three races left on the Tour. The tour continues on Friday in Italy’s Val di Fiemme.
