The Committee of Wise Men, appointed by Flemish Minister of Education Ben Weyts (N-VA), proposes a number of far-reaching measures to reform the job of teacher and make it more attractive. The plan includes seventy proposals, including abolishing fixed teaching hours and introducing a 38-hour working week instead. But pedagogical study days must also be taken into account so that from now on training courses take place outside of class hours.
