Call from Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç to congress members – Last minute Fenerbahçe news

Fenerbahçe Sports Club Extraordinary Charter Amendment General Assembly Meeting will be held tomorrow at Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports and Event Hall. Before the meeting, Ali Koç, the president of the yellow-dark blue club, addressed the congress members with a statement he made on the official website.

Koç said, “We are in a different excitement these days when the summer term is over and many families are excited to return to school. As you know, we will hold a historic Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting for our Club tomorrow, Saturday, September 9, at 10.30 at our Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports and Event Hall. In this meeting, we will evaluate the update of our statute, which is the constitution of our Club, and the name change of our temple. We have been working hard for a long time to make our Club’s statute meet the requirements of our age and at the same time make it compatible with the Sports Clubs and Sports Federations Law No. 7405. Our new statute is available to you. If approved by the new law, the changes required by the new law will be made and we will have a much more democratic, transparent, participatory, modern, simple and understandable statute. I would especially like to point out that if our statute is not harmonized with the new law, we risk not being able to continue our amateur branch activities. With the change in the statute, we will submit to the approval of our General Assembly the issue of our stadium bearing the name of our Atatürk, which has been a request of our fans for years. If your approval is received, we will initiate the permit process required for the stadium name change with our government.

As the official representative of our millions of fans, I would like to request you, our congress members, to ensure the necessary participation in our Extraordinary General Assembly and to support our Club, with the awareness of your responsibilities. Let’s open a new page in the history of Fenerbahçe together. See you at our General Assembly, which will start at 10.30 tomorrow morning,” he said.
