The CCC committee, Facebook’s subcontractor in Barcelona, has reached a Pre-agreement with the company to reduce from 334 to 251 the dismissals included in the Employment Regulation File (ERO), which if ratified by the workers would mean the call off the mobilizations planned.
As confirmed by EFE with UGT sources, the pre-agreement was closed yesterday and throughout the weekend the workers are voting on its ratification or not. The Facebook subcontractor in Barcelona filed an Occupation Regulation File (ERO) to dismiss 334 workersalleging a decrease in the volume of work, in line with what other technology companies have done.
The pre-agreement reduces the number of layoffs to 251 people andl 70% may join the ERO voluntarily, while the remaining 30% will be decided by the company with the criterion of least seniority and excluding the vulnerable group established by both parties.

Those affected will be compensated with 30 days per year worked and a guaranteed minimum compensation for all of 1,500 euros gross. The company has also promised that the people affected by the ERO will have preferential hiring rights if the firm makes new contracts.
In case the company files an ERO before December 31, 2023, the minimum compensation will be 30 days per year worked. The ratification of this pre-agreement will mean the cancellation of the mobilizations called by the works council for August 21 and 24 at the gates of Torre Glòries, where the company is headquartered.
