The Swiss clothing group Calida Group announced the appointment of Hanna Huber as Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO) on Wednesday. She is expected to take up the newly created position in January 2023 and then be “responsible for the digital transformation and the sustainable digital development of all business areas of the Calida Group,” said Calida Holding AG in an ad hoc announcement. “The newly created position will bundle all of the group’s IT business areas under one roof in order to continue and further optimize the company’s successful digitization strategy.”
Huber comes from the Hamburg trading and services group Otto Group, where she has been Group VP Technology Strategy & Governance since 2019. “In this role, she was responsible for the group’s technology strategy and, together with her team, helped transform Otto into a leading technology company,” explained her future employer. Before joining Otto, Huber held the position of Director Technology Operations at the e-commerce specialist Zalando.
Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, CEO of the Calida Group, explained the strategic importance of the personnel: “Thanks to the new position of the CIDO, we can consistently advance the digital transformation of our group. This will make our group even more powerful as a digital company and we can make even better use of the synergies between our brands,” he said in a statement. “We are delighted to have Dr. Hanna Huber for this essential task. With her many years of experience in e-commerce and her in-depth expertise in digitization strategies, she is predestined to systematize and optimize the digital development of the Calida Group.”
