In 2003, the country and desert rock group Calexico released their fourth album, “Feast of Wire” – one of their most successful to date. To celebrate the record’s 20th anniversary, Joey Burns, John Convertino and their live band are touring the US and Europe.
They will present the old songs at over 30 concerts. Nine appearances in Germany are also planned. In addition to the tour, the record will be re-released, including a live album from the first Feast The Wire tour.
in April 2022 the group’s current album “El Mirador” was released, as the band itself named after a place. However, not a real border town, but a lost Mayan metropolis. ROLLING STONE judged that it was “above all a declaration of love for the place and the border region that gave creative life to Calexico a good two decades ago”.
