Cagliari: Mazzarri exonerated, team to Agostini

Walter Mazzarri will no longer be the Cagliari coach. The decision, arrived in these minutes, is not official but should become so soon. The Sardinian club will entrust the team to Alessandro Agostini, former defender and then coach in the club’s youth teams.

The decision comes three days from the end of the championship, in the midst of a salvation race in which Cagliari finds itself entangled: a victory in the last five games has put Cagliari in a very dangerous situation: Salernitana and Genoa chase three points away in an ending to be written. Mazzarri had replaced Semplici on 15 September on the Cagliari bench.
