The staff of grand café Bottles on De Driesprong in Rosmalen is deeply shocked at the death of a 22 man on the terrace of this café on Saturday evening. The man had been stabbed shortly before after an argument elsewhere in the center.
The victim fled to Bottles after the stabbing. There the catering staff took care of the man, but he nevertheless succumbed to his injuries.
‘We are going to take the time to process this’
“Nobody wants to experience what happened to us this evening,” a spokesperson for the cafe sighs. “We’re going to take the time to process this.”
The cafe will therefore remain closed on Sundays.
‘Difficult to understand’
The Bottles team receives various statements of support on social media. “Intense, not normal”, Miranda responds. “Good luck to all!” Berri speaks of horrific violence and Harm speaks of a ‘sick world’. Mariska already feared the worst. “I already heard sirens and a helicopter.”
Birgit saw at half past four in the morning how the pillows and flowers at Bottles were being cleaned up after this bizarre evening. “I can’t believe how a Saturday night can end like this…”
Teens Suspicious
Two teenagers have been arrested as suspects in connection with the stabbing. The girls are 16 and 17 years old.
The investigation will take some time, police said.
