…better and better!
Another competition has grown in the Transfermarkt database. A new addition is the CAFA Nations Cup, in which Central Asian national teams compete for the continental championship. The opening game between Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan (Group B) ended 1-0 for Kyrgyzstan thanks to a goal from Ernist Batyrkanov in the seventh minute of added time.
The other participants are Iran (Group B) as well as Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Oman and Uzbekistan (Group A). Iran is the favorite for the title, with a squad value of 57.6 million euros. The squad also includes Leverkusen professional Sardar Azmoun.
