Cactus Festival loses four new names including De Jeugd van Nowadays

After two years of silence, the music festival in the Minnewaterpark is going again for a full edition. The organization previously announced that Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Balthazar, Franz Ferdinand, Richard Hawley, Intergalactic Lovers, Supergrass and Belle and Sebastian would perform. Today, four more groups are added.

The Belgian singer-songwriter Meskerem Mees will bring her music to Bruges on Friday 8 July, just like the Touareg icons Tamikrest. “These flag bearers of the desert blues are allowed to open the festival. This completes the line-up for Friday”, the organization says. On Saturday 9 July, the Dutch rap formation De Jeugd Van Nowadays will take the stage, the day after there will be even more hip-hop with the Antwerp duo blackwave.
