Cable sabotage: Two arrests at Rammstein concert

At the second Rammstein concert in Berlin (July 16) there were said to be two arrests – the police took two people away. A third woman is said to have left undetected. This was reported by “General-Anzeiger”.

The paper relies on the information provided by a police spokeswoman on Monday (July 17). According to this, the suspects would have tampered with cable ducts that led to loudspeaker boxes near the stage during the performance by Till Lindemann and colleagues. This attempted act of sabotage was observed by security personnel.

The arrested suspects are a man, 36, and a woman, 24. The two were banned from entering the Olympic Stadium. In addition, investigations into attempted property damage were initiated. Both suspects are free after an investigation.

Rammstein have not yet commented on the incident. According to the “General-Anzeiger”, it should have been observed in the stadium that the police officers who had been called to the stadium obtained information from the security service. After that, two people were led away through the grandstand area.

If this sabotage attempt actually took place, it would be a remarkable event. The Olympic Stadium had previously announced increased security measures, and “awareness teams” were also convened to ensure the safety of the spectators. There were demonstrations in front of the Olympic Stadium before the first of the three Berlin concerts. An increased “awareness” of security services such as the police in and in front of the stadium should be assumed.

Serious allegations are currently being made against Rammstein. Singer Till Lindemann is accused of abusive behavior against fans – since Monday (July 17) there have also been allegations against keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz, nickname: key fucker.

The band is currently on the Europe Stadium Tour. The members are currently silent in view of new allegations; Singer Till Lindemann rewrites song lyrics on stage, which are supposed to express a humorous and playful way of dealing with the allegations.
