The cabinet is delaying a decision about a possible delegation to the World Cup in Qatar after the group stage. Should the Dutch national team qualify for the knockout phase, it will be checked per match whether the government is sending someone and if so who. Ministers Conny Helder (Sports) and Wopke Hoekstra (Foreign Affairs) report this in a letter to the House of Representatives.
