Before its decision to no longer block visas for the Iranian delegation, the cabinet of Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib (MR) consulted with that of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. The conclusion was that diplomatically there was no choice but to issue visas, after the Iranians had been officially invited to the Brussels Urban Summit.
