From today it is possible to respond to a bill in which 16 tax changes are included for the islands of Bonaire, Sint-Eustatius and Saba (BES), together the Caribbean Netherlands. The government wants to involve interested parties in the elaboration of this bill. They can give their opinion from Friday, August 15, 2025, so that this input can be included in the further elaboration of the plans.
This year, the technical tax changes for the islands of Bonaire, Sint-Eustatius and Saba are bundled in the Fiscal Collection Act BES Islands 2027. This bill includes a change in payroll tax. As a result, the possibility is offered to involve certain cars made available to the employee in the final levy from the employer. In addition, an adjustment is included in the General Spending Tax (ABB), as a result of which mother and daughter companies no longer have to pass on this tax to each other. These changes, among other things, ensure administrative burden lighting.
