The ingredients for the cabbage stew are almost the same as in the cabbage box, but the stew is adjusted a little during the preparation stages, because this dish does not need to be put in the oven at all.

Cabbage stew
1 kg of white cabbage
4 carrots
1 large onion
3 dl of water
1/2 dl of brown rice
1 bouillon cube
400 g ground beef
2 tablespoons of syrup
2 teaspoons marjoram
salt
ground black pepper
1. Reserve a large pot for food.
2. Shred the cabbage.
3. Peel and cut the carrots into slices half a centimeter thick.
4. Peel and chop the onion.
5. Measure the water in the pot and add the meat stock cube. Add the cabbage strips to the boiling broth.
6. Stir occasionally. When the cabbage starts to soften, add the carrots, rice and salt. Mix well and put a lid on the pot.
7. Let it boil quietly, smiling, for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Meanwhile, brown the minced meat, season with salt. Add the onions to soften.
9. Add the minced meat-onion mixture, syrup, marjoram and black pepper to the pot.
10. Simmer for another 10–15 minutes. Taste and season to your liking. Serve, for example, with lingonberries.
