C&A moves into the Munich SportScheck branch

There is a new tenant for the Joseph Pschorr Haus on Munich’s Neuhauser Straße.

C&A is moving into the just over 6,000 square meter retail space in downtown Munich, the clothing manufacturer announced on Friday at the request of FashionUnited.

According to media reports, C&A will have to leave its current location on Munich’s Kaufingerstrasse at the end of the year. This makes the vacant shopping space on Neuhauser Straße, right in the center and not far from the famous Marienplatz, all the more convenient. The previous tenant of the future C&A location, the insolvent sports retailer Sportscheck, was unable to reach an agreement with the property owner Bayerische Hausbau Real Estate and had to give up the location.

“We are very pleased to have found a tailor-made retail tenant for the Joseph Pschorr Haus in C&A who is established in Munich,” said Thomas Bartl, Head of Asset Management at Bayerische Hausbau Real Estate. “Together we want to further improve the quality of the location in order to continue the long tradition of retail in downtown Munich.”

In addition to the clothing retailer, which has been represented in the Munich retail landscape for 70 years, brands such as Deichmann, Mango and TK Maxx are also part of the approximately 23,000 square meters of retail space at the Joseph Pschorr Haus
