Another anti-Israel demonstration in the heart of the capital! 9,000 participants gathered at the Neptune Fountain on Saturday. Armed with inflammatory and fake posters (see below), they marched along Unter den Linden, Friedrichstrasse and Leipziger Strasse to Potsdamer Platz.
The 1,400 police officers deployed had their hands full: posters and banners that equated Israel’s reaction to Hamas terror with the Holocaust were rigorously removed.
BZ explains the hate and lying posters
► Ceasefire: The poster calls for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas terrorists. BUT: It existed before the massacre of 1,400 innocent Israelis on October 7th. It was the terrorists who broke it. Since then they have fired over 8,000 rockets at Israel.
► Free Gaza: The saying suggests that the Gaza Strip is occupied by Israel. The truth is: the Israelis withdrew from there in 2005. Houses, shops and orchards left behind. Hamas came to power in 2007. It paid off for the terror bosses: they became millionaires and billionaires, and the oppressed population became impoverished.
► Fake graphic: The graphic is intended to show how the Palestinians were driven out of their land by the Israelis. The truth is: there never was a state of Palestine. The area received its name “Palestine” in the 2nd century from the Roman Emperor Hadrian, who named it after the Jews’ arch enemies, the Philistines. Today’s Palestinians are Arabs.
► Stop the genocide: The banner accuses Israel of genocide against the Palestinians. But genocide means: genocide through the targeted persecution of a population group. Israel’s army has declared that it wants to destroy the terrorist group Hamas. There is a safety zone for the civilian population in the south of the Gaza Strip.
► From the River to the Sea: The slogan means nothing other than the annihilation of Israel. Because: An Arab-Palestinian state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean would lie exactly within Israel’s borders.
