Bundesliga club Hertha BSC presented their third new signing two days before the end of the winter transfer window.
Dongjun Lee is moving to Berlin from South Korean runner-up Ulsan Hyundai with immediate effect, as Hertha announced on Saturday. BZ had already reported on the plans two days ago. The 24-year-old South Korea international has been given a contract until 2025 and is expected to revitalize the attack on the right wing. The Berliners did not provide any information on the transfer modalities. According to media reports, there should be a transfer clause of just under one million.
The 1.73 meter tall striker scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 37 games in all competitions last season at the South Korean factory club. In March 2021, Dongjun Lee made his senior debut and competed in the Tokyo Olympics that summer.
Dongjun is very fast, agile, good at dribbling, with a pull towards the goal and, despite his small size, assertive and has a good header, said Hertha’s sporting director, Fredi Bobic, about the third newcomer after signing defensive players Fredrik André Björkan and Marc Oliver fight
