BVB’s decision about Dahoud’s future has apparently been made

In his fifth year at BVB, Mahmoud Dahoud finally made his breakthrough. Coach Marco Rose trusts the strong strategist, who had previously remained below his potential for a long time. Based on the latest developments, those responsible at Borussia Dortmund are said to have made a decision about the future of the 26-year-old.

20 games, two goals, four assists and a total of almost 1,600 minutes in the Bundesliga – Mo Dahoud has never had better figures since moving from Gladbach to Dortmund in the summer of 2017.

However, since the current working paper for the midfield all-rounder expires in 2023, the BVB bosses at Dahoud have to make a fundamental decision – or rather, they had to. Because according to “Sport1” information, Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc and Co. agree that they want to extend the contract with the German-Syrian.

According to reports, official talks are only planned after the season. Until then, Dahoud and his entourage will have to be patient.

Dahoud appreciated at BVB for his enormous versatility

Only recently did the “Ruhr Nachrichten” reveal that the internal appreciation for Dahoud had “increased massively” in the past year. Not only coach Rose was impressed that the creative mind put himself at the service of the team and repeatedly helped out in the sixth position.

Dahoud usually feels most comfortable as a link-up in the eight, but the 26-year-old has also featured as a playmaker on several occasions throughout his career. The rolls of the clearer were not actually part of his portfolio.

However, regular appearances were and still are in the foreground for the German international. And he’s now getting that at BVB, albeit in unfamiliar territory. No bad arguments for continuing the cooperation…
