BVB youth coach Mike Tullberg stays: talks with Terzic at the U19 final

Borussia Dortmund can also count on the work of youth coach Mike Tullberg in the coming season. After being linked about a month ago with Eintracht Frankfurt, who are scouting the coaching market for potential Oliver Glasner successors, the 37-year-old has made a decision about his future. According to the Dane, the Dane announced on his private Instagram account “Ruhr News”: “I’m looking forward to my fifth year at BVB 23/24”.

According to the newspaper, two long talks with head coach Edin Terzic before and after Dortmund’s U19 final against Mainz 05 (2:4 aet) on Sunday were decisive for Tullberg’s whereabouts. The youth coach feels it is a great honor to be able to discuss things with the 40-year-old on an equal footing. Tullberg came to Dortmund from Vendsyssel FF in 2019 and initially took over the second team in the Regionalliga West. In 2020 he switched to the U19s and won the championship last year. His contract in Dortmund runs until 2026.
